Auditor registration requirements and information:


1. - Each auditing organization needs to have one person who is a subscriber of Boston Singers Resource to participate in the Annual Auditions ($35/year ). Current subscribers should check their profile for their subscription expiration date. Anyone may subscribe to BSR at any time either online or via print/mail registration.

2. - Auditors do not need to be New England Residents.

3. - Each Auditor must pre-register with Boston Singers Resource (Deadlines are March 25, April 21, and November 11 for inclusion in the printed program).

4. - There is a $25 auditor fee per open audition and a $40 auditor fee for the select audition (payable with credit card online or by check or money order.)

5. - Audition days will include a Director/Producer luncheon and networking session from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Singer and Accompanist Auditions every five minutes from 10:00 AM- 4:30 PM, a headshot/resume book, and a program of participating organizations.


6. - Information about the performers: The BSR Annual Open Auditions are open to any singer or accompanist age 18+ . Performers are given time slots on a first-come-first-served basis. The BSR Annual Select Audition is for professional and emerging professional solo singers, only. All performers have been pre-screened by recording or live performance for acceptance. Only qualified performers will be given a time slot. Singers for all three auditions are given 4 minutes (6 minutes if both the singers and the accompanist are auditioning) to present themselves in whatever way they feel is best. Excerpts of pieces are allowed. This will be strictly timed. Literature performed will be from the standard opera, oratorio repertoire.

7. - Each organization should be present for all of the singer auditions. If an individual auditor cannot attend for the entire day, please kindly provide a second representative to hear all of the singers.

8. - Each auditor may bring one guest.

9. - Boston Singers Resource will provide all auditors and guests with snacks, drinks, and lunch. There will be 10 minute breaks each hour and a 60 minute lunch.
More information and directions to the auditions will be mailed just prior to the auditions.
