BSR RECEIVES MCC GRANT!
Boston Singers' Resource is pleased to announce the receipt of an Organizational
Support grant in the amount of $2,500 each year until 2009 from the
Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC). This is a state grant based on
a competitive process. In making the award, the MCC music panel stated:
"[BSR] offers an important service to the community of singers.
It provides excellent assistance to aspiring singers."
MCC has a budget of $13 million, including $12 million from the state
of Massachusetts and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts,
the Wallace Foundation, and other sources. Its funds reach every community
in Massachusetts. The board and staff members of Boston Singers' Resource
wish to express their deep appreciation for this public financial support.
And BSR thanks the MCC for their recognition of Boston Singers' Resource
as a valuable arts service in the community. Funds from the MCC will
enable BSR to continue to improve its programs and services for singers
of all levels.
